Barbara currently works as a nurse practitioner at Women Physicians OB/GYN Medical Group in Mountain View where her patients rely on her to listen to their concerns and provide them with the most current information on a variety of topics including pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, menopause, and fertility.

Up until launching Blue Orchid Guides, Barbara was also an assistant clinical professor at San Jose State University. She began her career at Stanford University Hospital as a pediatric intensive care nurse. She earned a Masters degree in the Nurse Practitioner program from the University of California, San Francisco. She also volunteers in a free clinic each month, where she utilizes her Spanish speaking skills with her patients. Barbara makes her home in Silicon Valley with husband and young son.

Barbara designed these guides for busy women who need comprehensive and complete information at their fingertips; physicians a way to save time and effort while providing their patients essential information, and partners a direct-to-patient marketing communication tool that also provides a value-added service to physicians.

Blue Orchid Guides were designed and tested over a 6 month period with hundreds of women to ensure that they meet women's needs for portability, presentation, organization, and content.
